Reunion Update

We hope you’re looking forward to this year’s reunion as much as we are! In addition to the requisite card and dice games, we’ll have horseshoes and water play for the kids – so don’t forget to bring your water guns!

We’ll be providing the meat and asking everyone to bring something to share (potluck style). Refreshments (tea, lemonade, water, etc.) will be provided but, if you’d like something different, please bring your own booze and soda. Now, what could be better on a hot summer day than some homemade ice cream? If you have an ice cream maker, please let us know – we’ll need several to keep the sweet stuff churning.

Since this will be on JULY 4TH, we’re planning to head into town at the end of the day for some great fireworks. If you want to bring some of your own, you’ll be able to set them off there. Don’t forget your lawn chairs and maybe a blanket or two to sit on.

We’re putting together a photo memory book for Grandpa Shorty so please let us know if you’ve got some good pictures to share. We’re also interested in any fun (or funny!) stories. As a reminder, we have set up this blog to keep track of all the planning and as a way to keep our family linked. If you’d like to contribute to the blog, let us know and we can give you posting privileges. Also, if you have a blog of your own, we’d really like to know!

Even though many of you live in the area and others have family they can stay with, we still wanted to provide a list of motels and campsites so that you can plan ahead. Of course, you’re welcome to pitch your tent or park your trailer at Barb & Brad’s place (just keep in mind that they will already have a houseful and don’t have any kind of hookups).
